Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the services offered by Bronte Dance and Fitness Pty Ltd ABN 37145868873.
1. Personal information is important
Bronte Dance and Fitness is committed to safeguarding personal privacy. It recognises that individuals have a right to control how their personal information is collected and used. Providing personal information is an act of trust and it is taken seriously. Unless given consent to do otherwise, Bronte Dance and Fitness will only collect and use personal information as set out below.
2. Collecting personal information
Bronte Dance and Fitness will not collect or monitor any personal information about an individual without their consent. The only personal information collected is what has been provided voluntarily.
When a membership or product is purchased or through marketing activities (online, in a club, over the telephone etc.), personal information may be requested (such as name and address) in order to provide the requested service or product, provide upgrades or updated information, and advise of other Bronte Dance and Fitness products, which may be of interest. No one is obligated to provide personal information. However, failure to do so may result in Bronte Dance and Fitness being unable to provide services or products to you.
3. Use of tracking technologies
Bronte Dance and Fitness uses tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons to make use of the website and services as convenient as possible. Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to a computer’s hard disk for record keeping purposes. Web Beacon is a technical method that sends information related to the access to websites, when you browse websites, open or preview an HTML-formatted email. Most web browsers are set to accept tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons. These tracking technologies do not themselves personally identify users, although they do identify a user’s browser. These tracking technologies allow Bronte Dance and Fitness to monitor the Bronte Dance and Fitness web site, and to record how many people are using the different parts of the site. It is possible to set the browser to refuse tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons, however, this may limit the services provided by Bronte Dance and Fitness’s web site.
4. Using and disclosing your personal information
Personal Information will be used for the following primary purpose:
a. To fulfil obligations under your membership agreement and/or any other contract between you and Bronte Dance and Fitness.
b. To render services under your membership agreement.
c. To provide information about products, service and/or special offers.
d. To obtain opinions or comments about products and/or services.
e. To record statistical data for marketing analysis.
Bronte Dance and Fitness may employ other companies or individuals to assist us in providing our services, or to provide certain services such as analysing customer lists, providing marketing assistance or consulting services. These third parties may have access to information needed to perform their function but cannot use that information for other purposes.
Bronte Dance and Fitness and Bronte Dance recognise the trust with which individuals provide personal information, and such information will not be used or disclosed for any other purposes without consent, except in exceptional cases when disclosure may be required by law or is necessary to protect the rights or property of Bronte Dance and Fitness, or any member of the public, or to lessen a serious threat to a person’s health or safety.
5. Contact by Bronte Dance and Fitness
Bronte Dance and Fitness does not send advertising information without obtaining prior consent. If an individual receives communications from Bronte Dance and Fitness which they do not wish to receive, please inform Bronte Dance and Fitness staff at [email protected].
6. Individual’s right of access
Individuals have the right to review the information that may be recorded on the Bronte Dance and Fitness database. If you wish to review your information, please contact [email protected].
7. Changing and deleting the information we have about you
Information contained on the database may be amended by contacting Bronte Dance and Fitness at [email protected]. In the same way, a request may be made to delete personal information, and all reasonable steps to delete the information will be made, except where it is required for legal reasons. Deletion of information may result in Bronte Dance and Fitness being unable to sell products directly and/or provide certain services including after sales services.
8. Storage and security of personal information
Bronte Dance and Fitness will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information recorded, and to keep this information accurate and up to date. The information is stored on secure servers if in digital format, or in locked areas if in hardcopy format: these repositories are protected in controlled facilities. In some cases these facilities may be overseas. Bronte Dance and Fitness employees and data processors are obliged to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by Bronte Dance and Fitness. However, security of communications over the Internet cannot be guaranteed, and therefore absolute assurance that information will be secure at all times cannot be given. Bronte Dance and Fitness will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to personal information.
9. Bronte Dance and Fitness and links to other web sites
Bronte Dance and Fitness occasionally provides links to web sites outside of the Bronte Dance and Fitness site. These linked sites are not under the control of Bronte Dance and Fitness, and Bronte Dance and Fitness is not responsible for the conduct of companies linked to the Bronte Dance and Fitness web site, nor for the performance or otherwise of any content and/or software contained in such external websites.

1. MEMBERS UNDER 18
If you are under 18, we strongly recommend that you pay a fee for us to develop a suitable exercise program for you.
We may specify programs, classes and activities you can do without your parent or guardian’s supervision. We may charge extra fees for these, as the law may require us to supervise them more closely
2. HEALTH
On the day you sign your agreement and each time you use our facilities, you promise to us that:
• you are in good physical condition
• you know of no medical or other reason why you cannot do active or passive exercise that may damage your health, safety, comfort or physical condition.
2.1 Seek expert advice
Our staff and contractors are not medically trained. They are not medically qualified to assess if you and your guests are in good physical condition and can exercise without damaging health, safety, comfort or physical condition. If you or your guests are in any doubt, we strongly urge you to seek expert advice before starting an active or passive exercise program
3. CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND?
You have 14 days from your initial sign update to change your mind. We will deduct daily rate from your membership fee (14 Days)
After 14 days, no refunds are given. Unless, satisfactory reasons are given and supported by evidence.
Memberships are transferable if you change your mind.
4. MEMBERSHIPS
4.1 Upfront payments
When your membership is due to end, you can renew it before the date it expires at your current rate. If you do not renew it before then, your membership fee will be set at the current rate. By renewing your membership, you agree to the current membership terms that apply at that time. No refunds, transfer of membership allowed.
4.2 Your Direct Debit Agreement
Debit Success Terms and Conditions are available on the Debit Success application form.
Cancellation: 30 days notice required.
4.3 Can we increase fees?
We reserve the right to increase your fees at any time after the minimum period of your agreement has ended.
We will make a reasonable effort to tell you about this at least 3 inform you fortnights beforehand by writing to the address you last gave us (which may be an email address). We will consider that you will receive our letter or email on the second business day after it is sent.
Your authorisation Where we have made a reasonable effort to let you know about a fee increase, you authorise us to increase any debits from your nominated account in line with this increase.
4.4 Can you freeze your membership payments?
Memberships can be paused in weekly blocks, up to a maximum of 2 months. Cost: $5.00 per week.
4.5 Medical, bankruptcy and redundancy
If you have a medical reason, are bankrupt or made redundant and supply dated supporting documentation we will not charge you for Time Freeze for up to 18 fortnights in any 12 month period to allow you time to recover.
5. HOUSE RULES
5.1 Use equipment correctly
Using equipment You are responsible for using our facilities and equipment correctly, including adjusting levels or settings. If you are not sure how to operate any equipment, please see a club staff member before you use it.
5.2 Respect club facilities
Damage You are responsible for any damage to club facilities caused by you or your guests through a wilful act or negligence.
5.3 Clothing and hygiene
All members and guests must wear suitable clothes and enclosed sports shoes in any exercise areas, except for wet areas. We do not allow clothes with offensive images or inappropriate advertising.
You must use a towel Please use a clean towel when you use equipment, including exercise mats.
6. PURCHASING MEMBERSHIPS ON LINE
You are requires to print of the receipt of your payment as proof of purchase and present this when coming to the gym for the first time.
